For women who notice fabric first

Three cloths, chosen by hand

Every piece is bought on a trip to Italy, in small numbers, from cloth traditions older than any trend. When something is gone it is usually gone.

Linen tops from the racks, up closeBest for heat

Linen

Woven on Italian looms since Roman times

Flax spun and woven the slow way, then garment-washed so it arrives already soft. It creases the moment you sit down, which is the point. The crease is how linen tells you it is real.

Built for Florida heat the way it was built for the Mediterranean: it cools faster than cotton and wears in, not out, growing softer every season.

Soft pastel pieces with a silken handEvenings out

Silk

Como has finished silk since the 1400s

The mills around Lake Como have dyed and finished silk for six centuries, and they still set the world standard. That hand feel has never been matched by a machine-age shortcut.

Cool against the skin, warm when the evening turns, and it moves when you do. For the nights that ask a little more.

Viscose dresses in full drapePacks flat

Viscose

Born to drape like silk, raised in Italian mills

Spun from natural cellulose over a century ago as an answer to silk, and Italian finishing taught it manners. It drapes like silk and forgives like cotton.

The travel piece: packs flat, shakes out ready, looks composed by the time you reach the clubhouse door.

From the racks

Chosen in Italy. Worn in Florida.

Women-owned · Matlacha

Chosen by one pair of hands.

Every piece on these racks was chosen by Mariann herself, on buying trips to small Italian makers. Linen, silk and viscose, picked piece by piece for real Florida weather and brought home in small numbers. Her customers say it best: she will help you find exactly what you are looking for.

Questions we hear a lot

How do I get the pop-up to my community?

Send us the name of your activities director, by message or with the form below. We work out the date with your clubhouse and put it on the season calendar. That is the whole process.

When does the pop-up season run?

Pop-ups begin in November and run through the season. Message us and we will tell you where we are heading before it is posted anywhere.

If I saw a piece at a pop-up, can I still get it?

Maybe, and soon is better than later. Every piece is bought in Italy in small numbers, so when something is gone it is usually gone. Call the shop and we will check the racks for you.

When is the shop open?

Tuesday to Saturday, 11am to 3pm, at 4606b Pine Island Rd in Matlacha. Hours stretch once season starts in November. We close for buying trips to Italy and post the dates before we go.

Can I book the shop just for my group?

Yes. A private viewing closes the boutique for you and your circle, during the day or after hours. A $150 reservation holds the date, and $125 of it becomes house credit, drawn down across the group’s purchases. Whatever credit is left that evening stays yours for a later visit; the reservation itself is not refunded. Add La Lezione, a styling hour where Mariann teaches color pairing and cloth from the racks around you, for $95. Or book both together as Il Pacchetto: $225 for the evening, with $150 in house credit on the same terms. Reserve below, or message us to arrange it.

Do you sell online?

Not yet. The racks are the experience. Follow us on Instagram or Facebook to see what came back from Italy, then come see it in person.

Bring the boutique to your community

The season calendar is being set now. Tell us your community and we will take it from there. The note goes straight to Mariann.

Or message us on Facebook
